Pigpen Hoedown

Coming June 26th, 2010 at Horizon High School, Gracie will be in her dance studio's recital. We are so excited! If anyone is interested in going, please email me and let me know so I can get the tickets in May. It's funny, I said I'd never do these for my daughter, but Gracie had other ideas. :) She just has music in her heart and rhythm in her step.

Here is the song she will be dancing to... I cant wait for the costumes!

Gracie will be so excited to have "fans" in the audience.

Sweet and Sassy

Gracie had her 4th birthday party with 10 of her closest girlfriends yesterday. Gracie had so much fun spending some girl time with her friends as they were dressed as princesses, got their hair done, some glitter and nails painted. They all had a blast! This year was a lot of fun to watch Gracie with her friends and to see her open her gifts. Her face shows such excitement. I loved it!

Gracie and I went to her 4 year check up today. She is a solid 40 pounds still and 40 inches. She is in the 50th percentile for height and 80th for weight. They even took her blood pressure this year, which is a first, and it was 87/54, she was announced to be healthy! :) The FOUR shots however, well, those are never fun. She was so brave for the first one and then it went down hill on 2,3 and 4. I cant stand to hear her cry, so I joined her. We went home and she is now happily eating a popsicle and the tears are a distant memory.

Here are some pictures from Gracie's 4th birthday celebration.

Gracie turns 4

My sweet, sensitive, funny little girl. Today you turn four. I have enjoyed every second I have been given with you. Four years ago you came into mine and Daddys life with a Bang! What a day that was. I love you more today than I thought was even possible four years ago. I thought the love that came with you would be it and I'd carry it with me forever, but I was wrong. It was given but it has grown, and I am sure it will continue to do just that.

This year, you have come into your own. You have an opinion and you are not afraid to voice it. You have learned to write your name, when your birthday is and what city and state you live in. You have some of the cutest, nicest best friends out there and I so enjoy seeing these friendships blossom.
You love to go on "adventures" and vacations. You love to just be out of the house having fun. I know I have only myself to blame for this. You were out and about the second we left that hospital.
Dance and gymnastics are your favorite things to do. You love to be on the "big" stage. Mommy and Daddy LOVE to watch you.
Just in this short year I have seen you growing and it is so wonderful to watch. You get taller and prettier everytime I see you. You love your family with all your heart and have the compassion like no child I have seen.

Mommy and Daddy love you to Jesus and back, forever and ever.

Happy 4th Birthday!

Inspiring Moment of Grace

This week has been rough. Too rough. Too many tears to explain. God has been asked "Why?" too many times. I am thankful to have the friends I do. They helped me walk through this week and get through this week, even if they dont know how or if they did, they did. I am thankful for Bobby, for his shoulder I cried on. For my Grace. My heart is so full because of her. Not complete, but full.

One day, we will have another baby. I just know it. And when we do, it will be a beautiful day. Until then...

"Grace". A moment you dont ever expect to be handed and then... BAM. It's how you come through those moments... and this one came through with GRACE.

Read. Be Inspired. I was.
