Lake Powell- Part 1

We had such a wonderful time in Lake Powell. The long weekend went by far too fast. We spent ALL of our time on the lake, swimming, tubing and looking at some amazing views, caves and hidden water trails. To say we have been blessed with some amazing friends is quite the understatement after this weekend. We always have so much fun together and ALL of our kids get along so well, these little blessings really, truly LOVE eachother. There was many a time I looked over on the boat and saw them holding hands or giving kisses on the cheek. They are eachothers sense of security and that is pretty cool.

These are just a few pictures that I was able to take with my camera phone. I will be posting many more this week. Enjoy!

Gone to the Lake... with GREAT Friends

Photobucket

We are off to Lake Powell on Thursday. We are so excited to get up there and relax. Many, MANY pictures I am sure will come back with us. We are so ready to get out on the water and see what Gracie will do to surprise us.

We are staying on our friends houseboat and we hear it is absolutely beautiful up there with all of the water and mountains. 11 of us total are going, 6 adults and 5 children all under the age of 5. I am sure we will make many memories with this trip!

Learning to grow

Next week starts back up swimming lessons for Gracie's FINAL session... yay! She has 2 weeks left of 3 days a week being taught to kick, blow bubbles and more importantly, open her eyes! Oh and not to spit in Mrs. Sarah's face. :)

We also will be starting gymnastics this Saturday. I NEVER knew how to tumble and my cheering skills, well, lets just say my tryout was out of a comedy act.... "Go Mountains!"... or shall the correct be... "Go Lions" eh, mountains, lions... whatever. ;) This sweat pea wants to do everything and we will try with all our might to make sure she is able to try whatever she wants and keep doing whatever she LOVES.

Dance begins back up in August and she is happy about that. It is so adorable and fun at this age. I just love to see her smile.

We will be leaving for Lake Powell with a WONDERFUL group of friends in the coming weeks. We can not wait. These two couples and their familes have been there and stood by both Bobby and I. I love my "Soul Sistahs" and they make going to the gym a whole lot better everyday. Their children are amazingly charming and so wonderful for Grace. They pray for us and with us, they listen, they hug, they pick up the phone and they dont expect a thing in return. That is how you know you are blessed.

Going through this "storm" this year has definately brought Bobby and myself closer. People who I havent seen in years have reached out and prayed for us and sent lovely little notes of encouragement to us (Thanks Corie and Jamie!... to name a few) Many, for some reason or another, have backed away. And that is fine, but after awhile, standards that are being placed on my family have worn me down. I am not going to be criticised for making decisions that are for the better of my family and not to include you. I have dropped to my knees and have prayed and prayed and today, catalyst occuring, I am over it. I am at peace with my decision.

Fabulous "Stay-cation" at the Phoenician

What a weekend! It couldnt have been a better (well, a little cooler and less humid) of a 4th of July. We went to a yummy, and I do mean YUMMY, bbq at our friends down the street and then off to the Phoenician. We swam 90% of the time, or shall I say, Bobby and Gracie did. I love the water, but prefer to not live in it. We had a cabana at the resort all day, which was a blessing in many, MANY ways! It is pretty much expensive shade, but it is the only way to stay at a resort. When we checked in, Gracie got a stuffed bunny whom she has now given the name, Paco. We went to a wonderful dinner at Chevys down the street and came back to our "new home" as Gracie called it and all 3 of us were FAST asleep by 9. No fireworks for us. We woke up bright and early Sunday and went straight to the Cabana. We ate and drank to our hearts content. On our way home, we went to Sprinkles. There was only 1 way to end our vacation right.
